Comprate la rivista musicale RUMORE di febbraio! Nell'inserto BASSA FEDELTA' c'è la recensione del 45 giri della mia band, THE RIPPERS! :cool2: Finalmente riusciamo a farci riconoscere!:}
Di seguito vi incollo le recensioni sparse in giro per il mondo del nostro 45 giri...okkio WeAndrea, ad aprile potremmo suonare a Napoli...:D

Insane 6t's garagepunk from Italy!! Just simply some of the best stuff I heard in this genre this long! Think about TELL TALE HEARTS; PRIMATES; SATELLITERS & GRAVEDIGGER 5! Or original Beatpunk Combos like SHADOWS OF KNIGHT; PRETTY THINGS or early STONES! Manic R&B, stomping garagepunk...! This is just simply brainstorming! Dressed up in smart suits these 4 guys know how to perform authentic 60's sound with their vintage equipment! Numbered ed of 300 only..so better buy now..or spend more on eBay tomorrow!!

"T****s From Beyond" is the debut single from Italy’s the Rippers. It’s also the first record from Shake Your Ass Record. The Rippers are a garage band and this single was even recorded in their garage. From the photos on the sleeve, they even got the look down pat. These guys must of locked themselves in some old wine cellar, with too many bottles of vino and a the whole "Back From The Grave" series. Side A kicks off with "Leave Me Alone." It’s a jangley piece of garage punk, circa 1965. I like the snotty vocals, reminds me a little of Mick Jagger. "Don’t Talk To Me Baby" is an ass-shaker. I love when everything drops out except a little tom-tom action and then the firey guitar solo kicks in. Side B starts with "Killing Storm." It starts with some killer harp. Rocks along and has a cool guitar solo that gives way to another harp solo. The record ends with "Don’t Cry To Me." Now this is a cover of Jerry and the Others. I’m sure they picked this up from the before mentioned "Back From The Grave" series. This is a killer t**** with great sing-along chorus. The Rippers play some great garage punk that’ll have all the kids dancing. Remember you heard about them at cyclops first.

Hey Capinch!!!! Got the 7"s they SMOKE! they ROCK! they RULE!! I LOVE the rippers...do you have a contact address for them can I get them to do an album on Corduroy..they are the REAL DEAL best RnB I've heard for ages!!!

Europe´s wildest r´n´b combo, THE RIPPERS from Cagliari, Italy will probably release their debut album sometime early next year on Screaming Apple too. They´ve just released one hell of a 7" called "T****s from beyond" on the italian SHAKE YOUR ASS RECORDS and as there are only 300 copies available of it, it´s gonna be a huge collectors item very soon.

This is the first release on Shake Your Ass Records. I think they are off to a good start. The Rippers are obsessed with London's infamous lady-killer and solid, snotty '60s punk rock with a peppy beat. The four lads know that shades are an everyday sort of thang. The Pretty Things have invaded their brains and will only leave via a battery of guitars, drums and garbled vocals. All joshin' aside, this four-piece band of high octane ravers shake their collective ass on "Leave Me Alone," "Don't Talk Me Baby" (sic), "Killing Storm" and "Don't Cry to Me." All bands should sound this good.

Recensione Concerto al JACK THE RIPPER - Roncà (Verona)
Da quando ho cambiato mansioni al lavoro, torno sempre tardi
e non ho più possibilità di accedere a internet durante il giorno,
ecco perchè solamente ora trovo il tempo di spendere qualche buona parola
per una delle bands più selvagge sentite recentemente dal vivo.
Di chi sto parlando? Dei mitici RIPPERS!!!!
Li ho visti in azione al Jack The Ripper un paio di settimane fa,
in uno tra i migliori locali che la nostra ricca penisola
ci offre per ascoltare dell'ottima musica. Il programma dei concerti
è gestito al meglio da Andrea Bisio, una persona squisita, per quel poco
che ci ho avuto a che fare!!
Fino a qualche giorno prima di quella band avevo avuto modo di ascoltare
e apprezzare l'unico 45 che una copia di folli, trapiantati a Milano,
ha desiderato produrre a questo combo sardo di lo-fi 60's garage punk.
Eccezionale. Se non l'avete pigliato perchè pensate che i gruppi italiani
non meritino attenzione e perchè non date troppo credito a una band
sconosciuta... beh, cazzi vostri, come ha detto qualcuno "tra poco
troverete una delle 300 copie numerate a mano su E-bay!!!, e sarà troppo
tardi!!". Certo, potrete sempre chiedere alla mamma di aumentarvi la
paghetta, così sputtanate venti sacchi alla faccia della vostra fottuta
ottusità! Più aspetterete, più i sacchi aumenteranno!!
I Rippers dicevo... che concerto, amici!!
Armati di strumentazione d'epoca, con VOX in bella vista, i quattro
salgono sul palco con fare timido e sornione. Nessuno tra noi avrebbe
mai immaginato quello che da lì a poco sarebbe successo.
Un'ora tiratissima di un gig infuocato, un paio di bis, garage punk crudo,
selvaggio e dannatamente lo-fi come non lo si sentiva da tempo!!
Un pezzo dopo l'altro, senza respiro, il chitarrista che correva
come un treno, il batterista che picchiava sulla batteria quasi fosse
impossessato dallo spirito di qualche demone maligno, il cantante
che si dannava e trasudava passione e grinta da tutti i pori... che roba!!
Pezzi originali, stupro di classiche 60's covers, emozioni che solo alcune
compilations, Back From The Grave su tutte, mi hanno saputo regalare negli
ultimi tempi... Negli anni passati qualcosa di simile l'hanno proposto
i Makers, soprattutto come approccio a un certo tipo di suono, ma sapete
bene che fino hanno fatto... blah!
Loro no, loro sono veri, persone semplicissime che sul palco si
trasformano, ai quali piace registrare in presa diretta, non c'è trucco
non c'è inganno, ma tanto amore verso la bassa fedeltà e il rock and roll.
I Sonics ne sarebbero compiaciuti, AlphaMonic (e colei che verrà!) romperà
le palle a questi quattro ragazzi finchè esisteranno, finchè avranno il giusto
spazio che si meritano, in attesa che escano i loro prossimi vinili in giro
per il mondo... no, non sto delirando, aspettate qualche mesetto e vedrete!
Per saperne di più sull'orgasmo che mi è salito su per la schiena durante il
loro live set, procuratevi il nuovo numero di Geghegè, fuori a gennaio!
State in campana, non è escluso che in primavera ritornino...
