Hi guys,

For the previous version (WE7) is very simple that to make a patched CD, what about WE8? This latest version is DVD, can any expert tell me how to make a patched DVD with the original? show the the detail procedure is better

It's very simply... as same mode of WE7!
Create the .bin with yours favorite burning software, open PPF-O'matic and apply the .ppf patch...
Then burn image at 1x or 2x... i use alcohol 120%

Thanks for your help, but I wanna have a last confirm, coz this is the first time I burn DVD Games....haha

....let me figure out as follow:

1. use Alcohol 120% to make a *.bin file with the original WE8
*there's a "Datatype" at the bottom of Alcohol 120%, is it need to change the Datatype to "Playstation 2"? or other type?

2. patch that *.bin file and the downloaded patech by using PPF-O-Matic3


3. then burn the patched *.bin file wtih Alcohol 120%
*there's also a "Write Method", which method should I choose?
*use DVD+R or DVD-R to burn?

Ok...
For create image use Cd-Rwin because Alcohol don't make a .bin image...
when you have created the image patch the image with ppf-o-matic and open Alcohol:
1) Burn image
2) Select the exact .cue
3) next :P
4) For the datatype i use a custom, because in the PS2 Profile there is a mistake, the writing speed is too fast... select 1/2 x; mode raw dao... and nothing else!!!

P.S.
Use DVD-R because any tipe of PS2 don't read the DVD+R...

In some of the Hong Kong Forum, most of the WE fans also suggest to use DVD-R burn a PS2 Game.

But if your PS2 model is quite latest e.g. 56XXX or later, it can read DVD+/-RW also!

My model is 18000 (pretty old), I think I must use DVD-R

WE is really a good game, my boss in my company (he is Italian) is starting to study how to play this game too...HAHA!

Is the same if the image extension is not .bin? I created image with nero with .nrg extension, I applied the patch and it seems to be the correctly, but when i put the just burned DVD inside the ps2, it hang after the written PlayStation 2 , What do you think? it's an image extension problem or something else?

It should be the problem of the DVD-R, try to use different brand of DVD-R, coz I have the same expierence, and I use the brand of "Mitsubishi" DVD-R finally, and it's work fine....

Some of the cheap brand still can work fine, but u have to try (waste) many times and $$ to choose which brand of DVD-R is suitable for your PS2....

How can use CDR-Win to make cue sheet files?

When I press the "Start button" it comes up a message and said the source the Protected, then I can't do anythings then!

Any Suggestion? Or I can try another software like, Alcohol 120% or Blind write somethings!?
