Option File for Winning Eleven 8 - Winning Eleven Italia

I have the North American edition of WE8 for PS2, and I have downloaded some new option files. I also uncrushed the option file to my memory card with out a previous option file on there. (I've read the instructions many times)

However it seems that everytime the new option file I download is not recognizable as an option file. They are .max files, but why aren't they being recognized by Winning Eleven.

Normally an option file looks like this on your memory Card. But the option File I download looks like this:

Winning Eleven 8 Option File
WS

What am I doing wrong? Please Help

If the file u downloaded is .max file,u had to use it with a Max Drive.
I think it's something like an usb pen that u plug into your pc and then you load that file to the Ps2 with a special included dvd software for Ps2.In the package u should also find a software that runs on your pc.
