As the excitement of the World Cup XI subsides, the new champions having returned to Prague to receive their popular celebration, and Belgium returning to a state of normality - it is time for the rest of us to look forward. Early Friday morning, after days of of debate and reflection, observers outside the Hattrick Football Association HQ could spot the three puffs of green smoke that signals that a decision has been reached. Soon there after, it was declared that the World Cup XII will be hosted by Colombia. This marks the first return of the competition to South America since Brasil in 2005. Qualification will start on July 4 and the final will be held on January 23, 2009. Congratulations Colombia!
